Due to the heavy rain that occurred on August 6, 2025, some areas in the Kaga and Noto regions experienced damage such as above-floor and below-floor flooding.
On August 9, students from Kanazawa University's extracurricular group, the Volunteer Support Station (Bora Sapo), worked as staff members at the volunteer center that was established in Kanazawa City on the same day. They collaborated with members of the Ishikawa Disaster Volunteer Association to manage tasks such as welcoming general volunteers and coordinating support needs. Then, on August 12, they helped remove damaged furniture from homes in Kanazawa City that had suffered above-floor flooding.
