In our University Charter, we set forth the basic philosophy of "an education-oriented research university open to the region and the world. We aim to become "Global University" and "a center of knowledge in East Asia" by promoting research that contributes to the sustainable development of humanity and fostering human resources with expertise that can transcend national borders. Toward this goal, the "Basic Policy and Action Plan for the Internationalization of Kanazawa University" in education, research, and social contribution activities will be established.

(1) Fostering internationally competitive and creative human resources
- To develop human resources with international communication skills and expertise.
- To develop human resources with a broad background in the history, culture, and languages of Japan and the world.
- To provide an educational and research environment where Japanese and international students can learn and work together in friendly competition.
(2) Promote the formation of international research centers
- To promote academic research aimed at the creation of knowledge and actively disseminate research results domestically and internationally.
- To promote world-class, cutting-edge research centered on outstanding research fields and to form an international research center that attracts researchers from Japan and abroad.
- To promote the exchange of researchers and build an international exchange network of researchers by strengthening ties with overseas universities and research institutions.
(3) Contribution to the sustainable development of the world
- To contribute to the development of talented human resources who will provide the sustainable and stable development of the world by taking advantage of the strengths of education based on the distinctive academic research of our university,?cooperating with overseas institutions.
- To contribute to the enrichment of people's lives and balanced sustainable development through research activities that provide the solution of global issues.
- To contribute to the development of industries in the world by fostering human resources who can bridge industries in cooperation with overseas companies and Japanese companies that have overseas bases.
