Noto Aqua Farm Received "Kanazawa University Certified Venture" Title — Commercializing Sustainable Shrimp Farming Through Innovative Technology

On October 30, Kanazawa University awarded the title of "Kanazawa University Certified Venture" to Noto Aqua Farm, a company aiming to develop a new fisheries industry by utilizing deep ocean water from Noto and engaging in the production and farming of whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). With this certification, the number of Kanazawa University Certified Ventures has reached eight.

The company is a start-up company established on February 20, 2025, and Professor Nobuo Suzuki from the Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology, Kanazawa University serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The company aims to establish land-based aquaculture technology through sustainable shrimp seedling production based on the results of its research and development of cultivation technology using deep sea water.

At the award ceremony, President Takashi Wada handed a certificate to the company's CEO, Kaori Taira, and a commemorative plaque to CTO Suzuki, who expressed his expectations for the company's future development and contribution to the reconstruction of the region.
