Student Support Program "Summer Concert to Reach the Heart"?

On July 11, Health Service Center held a "Summer Concert to Reach the Heart" together with KEYPAT* at the Kanazawa University Big Hall. About 35 students, international students, faculty and staff attended the concert. This concert was planned with the hope that people would spend time healing their minds and bodies while listening music during their lunch break.??Romance op.37? (Saint-Sa?ns, C), Sonata for Flute and Piano (O. Tactakivili),? Morning Song (E. Elgar) were performed by Professor Hiroaki Yoshikawa (flute) from Health Service Center (who also supervises activites of KEYPAT) and pianist Yukari Yamada.
Students who listened to the performance commented: "The refreshing songs, the powerful songs, and the calm songs all reached the heart", "I feel very happy and relax after listening the music," the staff said, "The live music resonated with my heart, and I was able to feel refreshed and cheerful in the rainy season," and the faculty members said, " We had a wonderful time after class in the morning. Thank you for the blissful moment!".

* "KEYPAT" is an abbreviation of K anazawa E ducational Y ell P sychological A ssistance T eam.

"KEYPAT" is the official university-wide team at Kanazawa University that supports those who have suffered from mental health problems as a result of the Noto Peninsula earthquake.
The team consists mainly of certified psychologists.
