Cherry blossoms bloom at Kakuma Campus

Today, after the 2024 Academic Year Matriculation Ceremony, Kanazawa University confirmed that more than 5 cherry blossoms have bloomed on the specimen tree at Kakuma Campus.

Kanazawa University has about 3,600 cherry trees, including Somei-Yoshino and Yamazakura, on its campus, making it one of Kanazawa's most famous cherry blossom viewing spots. In the February 27, 2016 issue of Nikkei Plus One's "Anything Ranking," Kanazawa University 's Kakuma Campus was ranked number one in Western Japan in the "Ranking of Cherry Blossom Spots at Domestic Universities You'd Want to Visit at Least Once."
